Our guesthouse is housed in three beautifully restored late-Victorian homes, each with a name and history rooted in the early 20th century. Built just after World War I, they still feature the elegance of the era—pressed steel ceilings, warm wooden floors, wide verandahs, and classic copper fittings.

Emmy and her family were so warm and welcoming. They did everything they could to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. The cleaning staff were also excellent and made sure our apartment was clean and tidy everyday. The location was perfect – close to many restaurants and bars and only about a 15 minute drive to beaches at Clifton and Camps Bay. We had an amazing view of Table Mountain and Lions Head from our terrace.

Now that we’ve been to 5 Camp Street Guesthouse for the fourth time, we’ve got a feeling of coming home. Emmy was, as always, an excellent hostess who would help you with advice and action. The proximity to Kloof St with restaurants is wonderful, and you can also walk there in the evenings with a feeling of safety.
